Automation in series production: STILL FM-X iGo wins IFOY Award in the ‘Mobile Robot’ category

Innovative strength, market relevance and high customer benefit – it is these attributes that have once again impressed the international IFOY expert jury this year, with the intralogistics specialist STILL coming out on top. The FM-X iGo automated reach truck won the coveted IFOY Award in the 'Mobile Robot' category, demonstrating the significant value of scalable, safe and easily implementable automation solutions.

The happy winners: Marcel Fassbender, Key Account Manager STILL Germany, Christian Ehlers, Product Manager Automation & Intralogistics Solutions STILL, and Jan Christoph Sachse, Senior Director Marketing & Brand Communications STILL, accepted the IFOY Award 2025 for the FM-X iGo from Dr. Heike van Hoorn, Managing Director Deutsches Verkehrsforum e.V.

“And the winner is…” The finalists of this year's IFOY Awards had to wait over five months for the winners of the coveted trophies to be announced yesterday evening against the festive backdrop of the Phoenixhalle in Dortmund. The excitement was tangible, and the joy at Hamburg-based intralogistics specialist STILL was great when the winner of the 'Mobile Robot' category was finally announced. The FM-X iGo automated reach truck impressed the international jury of experts, winning the IFOY Award 2025.

Focus on customer needs

STILL’s first industrially manufactured driverless reach truck impresses with its cost efficiency, straightforward scalability and excellent service quality. The high safety standards and the intuitive operating software, which allows companies with limited automation experience to begin automating their processes, also ensure high functionality, market relevance and significant customer benefits. The FM-X iGo can be seamlessly integrated into existing warehouse layouts and mixed-mode operations. Thanks to its narrow aisle width and high lift height, it enables companies to make optimum use of existing storage space. Its multi-level safety system and integrated chassis sensors ensure an exceptionally high safety standard in accordance with ISO 3691-4.

With the FM-X iGo as part of our comprehensive iGo automation solution, we are meeting today's key customer requirements for flexible, safe, accessible and cost-efficient intralogistics solutions,” explained Jan Christoph Sachse, Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Communications at STILL, who accepted the prestigious award on stage. “Winning the IFOY Award also validates our consistent focus on scalable solutions that also enable smaller companies to enter the world of automation with minimal barriers to entry.

Excellent availability and uncomplicated service

Thanks to serial production based on standardised components, the FM-X iGo is available at short notice — a novelty in a market segment where individual solutions have traditionally been developed and manufactured on a project-specific basis. The same applies to servicing and maintenance: Thanks to the digital service concept based on standardised components and 'digital twins', local service technicians can carry out fast and uncomplicated software updates, maintenance and repairs. In addition, lithium-ion technology ensures high availability, and the scalable iGo automation solution offers flexible application scenarios and intuitive implementation.

STILL iGo: The full range of automation

iGo brings together the full range of STILL's automated solutions in a single system. With its extensive range of automated series vehicles and scalable software solutions, iGo provides smart intralogistics solutions for all companies that can be seamlessly adapted to any individual requirement. They also impress with their fast availability, consistent compatibility, high level of safety and cost efficiency, regardless of the complexity of the requirements or the application scenario. The smart plug-and-play solution iGo easy is the perfect option for companies looking to automate individual logistics transport processes. As requirements grow, it is easy to switch to iGo systems, which enable the automation and orchestration of complex, cross-functional logistics processes.
