STILL in the running for two IFOY Awards

Nominees announced for the IFOY International Intralogistics Award

Hamburg, 22 January 2024 - STILL is competing for the "Oscar of intralogistics" in two categories this year: In the "Mobile Robot" category, the IFOY jury has nominated the EXV iGo automated high lift pallet truck. The Hamburg-based intralogistics provider also has a chance of winning an award in the "Integrated Customer Solution" category with an automation project for Beiersdorf AG. The international jury will decide on the winners at the IFOY Test Days, which will take place from 8 to 11 April as part of the Test Camp Intralogistics in Dortmund.

The EXV iGo. An automated automated high lift pallet truck with an innovative, modular design that can be commissioned quickly and easily thanks to modular system parameters and the smart iGo easy entry-level solution.

With the EXV iGo, STILL is entering the competition with an automated high lift pallet truck with an innovative, modular design that can be commissioned quickly and easily thanks to modular system parameters and the smart iGo easy entry-level solution. As the first series-produced automated truck, the EXV iGo enables rapid scalability as well as uncomplicated and fast service. It is the smart answer to the growing demand for cost-effective, customised, fast-to-implement and scalable automation solutions, setting new standards in both production supply and pre-storage. With a high residual load capacity of up to 1,600 kg, a lift height of up to 3.8 metres and a maximum speed of 7.2 km/h, the EXV iGo is a reliable and powerful partner in a wide range of applications. It is the ideal stand-alone solution for repetitive material handling and storage and retrieval tasks. It also excels in mixed operation with maximum process reliability, precision and safety. This is ensured by the multi-level safety system, which uses safety scanners and sensors to protect man, machine and load.

Scalable, safe, trendsetting

Also nominated for the final round is an automation project for Beiersdorf AG, implemented by STILL. The new construction of a state-of-the-art production centre for cosmetic products in Seehausen near Leipzig is one of Beiersdorf AG's largest investment projects in Europe. The pharmaceutical company relied on STILL's expertise to design and implement the production and warehouse supply systems for this complex multi-million euro project. The most important objectives were to significantly increase efficiency and capacity, as well as to make the new warehouse and production structures future-proof and scalable - while consistently taking into account the high safety requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. The result was maximum flexibility, traceability, safety, scalability and a forward-looking reference for future projects: In just under two years, Beiersdorf AG and STILL have succeeded in creating a milestone in innovative intralogistics in a cooperative partnership - and completed all material flows with the integration of three fill & pack lines by the end of October 2023.

Winners to be announced on 14 June

"Automation is on the minds of many customers at the moment. I am therefore delighted that we have the opportunity to win the coveted IFOY Award in two categories and to have our expertise in this area recognised in yet another way. I am all the more curious to see how the distinguished jury will judge our nominees," says Dr Florian Heydenreich, Executive Vice President Sales & Service STILL EMEA. But yet there must be patience: The winners will only be announced at the final IFOY Award Night on 14 June in the Austrian imperial city of Baden near Vienna.

About the IFOY Award

The winners are selected by an international jury of renowned trade journalists who are representatives of the leading logistics media in the respective markets. According to the IFOY organisation, the judging is independent and based on transparent criteria and professional expertise. The award is intended to document the performance and innovative strength of the intralogistics industry and to contribute to the competitiveness and improved public image of the entire sector. The IFOY Award is sponsored by the German Association for Materials Handling and Intralogistics and the Robotics + Automation Association of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and is under the patronage of Dr Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
