Reason enough to hand over to the Ulmer Seifert Logistics Group a new RX 20 and thus the quintessence of the powerfully performing RX series that was presented as recently as January. As an international freight forwarder and contract logistics service provider, the family business in Ulm has already ensured a smooth supply chain for its customers for 70 years. Thomas A. Fischer, Managing Director for Sales (CSO) for STILL, and Head of Sales Holger Brandt presented the anniversary truck to Christian Stoll, Managing Director Operations (COO) of Seifert Logistics GmbH, in the context of this year’s LogiMAT 2018.

The success story of STILL began in 1920 when company founder Hans Still started a repair business for electric motors. The company expanded rapidly, and subsequently moved to its present headquarters in Berzeliusstrasse. It brought an innovation onto the market in 1949 in the shape of the first in-house developed, electric motor driven fork lift truck, the EGS 1000. The R 50 series of battery-powered trucks has become the best-selling three-wheel truck series in its class. With the first RX 50 in 2003, STILL began the RX series of models that has remained successful up to the present day. The idea behind the “X” name element is to make the best of STILL even better. The orange-silver design and combination of environmental compatibility with a maximum level of efficiency and ergonomics set industry standards. The inventive spirit already put into practice by the company’s founder ensures right up to the present day that STILL has developed from a stacker truck producer to one of the world’s leading suppliers for the intelligent control of intralogistic material and information flows.

The handover of the anniversary forklift truck to the Seifert Logistics Group also symbolises the future sustainability of business relations between the two companies. Speaking at the handover of the truck in Stuttgart, Thomas A. Fischer stresses “The fact that we hand over an anniversary truck, the new RX 20, that underlines in a special way our aspiration to deliver innovative, efficient, environmentally compatible solutions for our customers’ complex requirements, demonstrates the great importance we attach to our trusting partnership with the Seifert Logistics Group.” Sales Manager Holger Brandt adds: “STILL and Seifert Logistics combine the passion for absolute customer orientation with a deep understanding of one another.”

The Seifert Logistics Group (www.seifert-logistics.com), which specialises in its customers’ entire supply chains, has developed from a regional market leader to an internationally operating freight forwarder and contract logistics service provider since the company was founded in 1947. With more than 1,900 employees, the family-run business based in Ulm is among German’s leading logistics service providers. At 43 locations in Europe, the Seifert Logistics Group implements procurement, production and distribution solutions for the automotive, paper, chemicals, building materials, pharmaceutical and consumer goods sectors of industry. The company earned revenues of around EUR 185 million in 2017.Christian Stoll, Managing Director Operations (COO) of Seifert Logistics GmbH, stresses that “For the Seifert Logistics Group, this handover is an important milestone in the collaboration with STILL,” and he adds: “As well as rapid technological developments, we logisticians must adjust to customer behaviour that is subject to increasingly dynamic change. For example, our customers’ requirements for shorter delivery times and for transparency are rising continuously. By using solutions from STILL, we can fulfil these demands competently and reliably.”
