2000: Renewal - STILL is positioning itself as a Premium Brand.Though STILL has been able to count steady growth of the last few decades, together with expansion into new markets, as business success, it faced new demands associated with this success. As a global company STILL has had to confront the challenges of the global market. STILL therefore resolved to eliminate recognised weaknesses and expand existing strengths.
At the turn of the millennium STILL embarked upon an investment programme running into millions designed to optimise manufacturing facilities at its Hamburg headquarters and to further improve its already strong service organisation. In parallel with this STILL increased its international manufacturing and marketing capacities by targeted company takeovers. These activities were accompanied by internal quality assurance programmes and the accelerated development of highly innovative products and services. New trucks came into being which set new standards of economy, quality and performance. Alongside this STILL established a service concept, the PartnerPlan, which presented a previously unobtainable range of acquisition choices, all tailored to customers' individual needs.
In the course of the internal renewal, the company's external profile became better defined. STILL became increasingly recognisable as a worldwide Premium Brand, characterised not only by a comprehensive range of trucks but also by highly innovative services and material flow solutions. Thanks to this change from a purely manufacturing operation to a provider of complete Intralogistics solutions STILL finally captured the leading position in the intelligent control of Intralogistics processes in Europe.
With all its capacity for change however, STILL stayed true to itself. Customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders can thus rely on the basic values and aims of the company mission statement being valid in the ninth decade after the foundation of the firm. Today, just like tomorrow, STILL commits itself to this guiding principle: "For all who are associated with us we want to be an asset."
