Powerful: the new RX 60-40/45/50 with load capacities between 4 and 4.99 tonnes is the most powerful member of the RX 20/RX 60 family. Its highlights: lowest energy consumption, low maintenance design, modular construction concept and optimum visibility result in a class-leading, low TCO (total cost of ownership).

With its side-battery-change feature, the new RX 60 from Still sets the standards for its class. Available in capacities of 4.0, 4.5 and 4.99 tonnes, the machine features a range of innovative technical solutions designed to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO). These include lower maintenance requirements, fewer wearing parts and reduced energy consumption.
Lowest energy consumption of its class
The energy- and noise-optimised hydraulic drive utilising three-phase technology has no energy-sapping fans and this extends the work cycles available from a battery charge.
Fully encapsulated drive provides total protection against the ingress of dust, water and other contaminants and renders the machine impervious to the most hostile operating conditions. Significantly higher overall performance than both its predecessor model and its market contemporaries help further reduce TCO.
The RX 60 forklift truck is equipped with two CAN bus systems while dual processor control ensures maximum reliability. The side-battery-change facility, which does away with the need for a hoist, not only gives significant time savings but also makes battery changing a much safer operation.
New mast for a better view
For the RX 60 a whole generation of masts, optimised to provide a better view, was developed. The outer masts consist of low-torsion C-profiles which are located in line with the lift cylinders. Instead of a central cylinder, which would obstruct the forward view, a solution with two slim free lift cylinders arranged on the sides was developed. This significantly increases the view through the mast (50 per cent larger field of vision for the tele masts and 220 per cent for the triplex mast) giving the best values for this class of forklift trucks.
Like the new RX 70 hybrid forklift truck, the RX 60 has a cabin with an optimal view in all directions. Slender supports for the overhead guard, large roof openings and raised seat position all contribute to this advantage.
The maintenance interval of the RX 60 is 1,000 hours or twelve months. This extended period reduces maintenance costs, especially in single shift operation where the 1,000 hours roughly correspond to a year of operation. Annual maintenance and safety inspections can therefore be carried out at the same time. The Still service organisation, with over 1,800 service vehicles across Europe, offers rapid response which in turn maximises uptime – and further improves TCO.
Two further attributes demonstrate Still’s current conceptual thinking. The new RX 60 is a modular design which fulfils virtually every customer requirement from a single platform. Secondly, Still has further optimised the ergonomics: positioning the battery to facilitate the lateral change has enabled the driver’s compartment to be isolated from the chassis to reduce cabin noise and vibration. |
