RFID – invisible technology, visible progress.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). A method of reading and storing data without visual or tangible methods of contact. STILL uses this technology in a particular way. “The intelligent truck” reads the information (from passive transponders, which are located in the ground at regular spacing) and uses the results to record its position.

RFID LOCATOR

By using RFID Locator in this way the location of the loads can be recognized indirectly by the stacker position and fork height. The double mast sensor technology of the RFID Locator makes automatic recognition of stock locations possible. This technology therefore supplements existing systems, such as the STILL MMS.i, as additional information is conveyed by WLAN to the controlling management system.

RFID SAFETY

RFID Safety is a driver assistance system which, when transponders are driven over, intervenes in the vehicle’s truck control, automatically reducing truck speed – e.g. at potential danger points, such as crossings or bottlenecks. Direction of travel can also be controlled for safe use in one-way traffic areas. Additionally, the control of safety devices, such as lighting, is possible. Altogether a substantial safety gain.
